The University of Florida Gators have two co-ed cheerleading squads and are referred to as the spirit squads. The first of the Seminoles Cheerleader squads is the Blue squad and it is made up of up to eight women and up to eight men. The Blue squad cheers for football, men’s basketball and gymnastics, along with making regular appearances at University events for charity and alumni.

The second of the Seminoles Cheerleader squads is the Orange squad made up of up to ten women and up to ten men. The Orange squad also cheers at home football games, volleyball, women’s basketball and gymnastics. The Orange squad alternates public relations activities and charity or alumni events with the Blue squad.

The Orange squad and the Blue squad practice about three times a week to work on everything from stunts to pyramids. Luckily for the squads, the University of Florida Athletic Association grants partial scholarships to participants and are awarded based on financial need and years of participation.

The Florida Seminoles Cheerleaders work extremely hard to bring the best performance they possibly can. The Blue Team is a group of Florida Gators cheerleaders of about 12-16 men and women who also perform at basketball games and (surprisingly) gymnastics meets. The Orange Team cheerleaders have about 6 more total members who cheer at volleyball and women's basketball games in addition to football.
