The SwampIf you close your eyes and picture muggy heat, dewey air, and muddy ground then you have just conjured up images of the original site of THE SWAMP.  The Swamp is the nickname of the Florida Gators football stadium (which is officially known as the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium).  The Swamp is appropriately titled because of its construction in a ravine and lowland in Gainesville, Florida.

The Swamp received its nickname from 90s football coach Steve Spurrier who bragged about the Florida Gator's ability to live and thrive in such a muggy, tough atmosphere where so many of its opponents failed.  Florida Gators football players and fans now take pride in the 100+ degree heat and humidity of homes games at The Swamp, and the nickname has stuck ever since.

The Swamp bleachers are filled with fans wearing orange and blue jerseys and cheering with Albert and Alberta, the official Florida Gators mascot.  Fans delight in the many traditions held at The Swamp: large video screens showing live footage of alligators and singing Florida-pride songs at the end of the third quarter.

If you would like to partake in all the fun events this stadium offers, buy the Swamp tickets today!  The Swamp tickets go quickly, especially for big match-ups against rivals like the Florida State Seminoles.  Purchase The Swamp tickets now and wallow in the swamp yourself!
